Does Peak Medevac work with my insurance?

Yes. Peak Medevac will work with all major health insurance. Call our communications center for more information.

What is an air ambulance?

An air ambulance is a specially outfitted aircraft that transports injured or sick people in a medical emergency or over distances or conditions where it would be impractical for a conventional ground ambulance.  These aircraft act as flying intensive care units and offer a wide range of medical services.

Can a friend or family member accompany the patient?

Yes. At least one family member or friend can accompany the patient on the flight.

Does Peak Medevac help me with ground transport?

Yes. We provide ‘bedside to bedside’ service, and coordinate the entire trip, not only the flight. We will arrange for the ground ambulance and accompany you all the way there.

Yes. You may have been told that there is no coverage by you insurance or that your loved one is not stable enough for flight. In any case, our specialists can assist you in identifying sources for payment, or with coordinating the medical care so the sending and the receiving facilities are comfortable with the transfer.

I have been told “no” already, is there anyway Peak Medevac can help?

Is Peak Medevac a Direct Air Carrier?

Yes. Peak Medevac International is a Direct 135 Air Carrier #YHPA606T. This means we not only own and maintain our aircraft, but we operate them as well. This allows us to have greater safety and less cost.

Can we bring luggage on board?

Yes. Our aircraft has a baggage storage, however we ask that the patient and passenger limit their baggage to one standard carry on and a personal item, anything larger must be discussed with us first and may need to be shipped.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, in most cases. Please let our communications center know of the request as early in the process as possible.
